SOLITAIRE FARM - AGRICULTURAL CENTRE OF EXCELLENCE
Balsham Anna

Three generations of pig keepers!

Large White

We have the oldest herd of Large White Pigs in England. It was founded by Albert Kiddy, Guy's grand-father in 1944. We are still using Albert's herd mark when we tattoo these piglets who are descendants of Risby Blackberry 5th, the founding sow of the herd.
The herd is shown all over England with considerable success, we won all the Large White cups at the 2008 Royal Show!

We export our pigs all over the world and would be delighted to talk about your requirements. Please give us a ring or leave a message on our contact page.

Hampshire
The Hampshire makes an excellent terminal sire in commercial herds resulting in well conformed carcases which grade well. We are one of the 14 pedigree hampshire herds in Great Britain.

Tamworth
The only british breed to have this distinctive ginger colour, it thrives on extensive outdoor systems and unlike the white breeds does not suffer from sunburn.

Middle White
This pork breed is easily recognisable by its short upturned snout. An easily managed breed that was first recognised in 1852.

British Lop
The only British breed that does not register with the BPA, it is a large lop eared pig that produces a good bacon carcase.
